Information we collect
MAITS may collect personal information that you choose to provide when you contact us, such as your name, organisation, email address, phone number and details of your enquiry.
Basic technical information may also be recorded by our hosting and security services, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and the time of a request. This information is used to operate, protect and understand the website.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, provide requested services, maintain business records, protect our systems and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or trade personal information.
Contact forms
When online enquiries are enabled, information submitted through the contact form is sent to the approved contact endpoint configured for the website. That service must be reviewed for appropriate security, retention and processing arrangements before activation. Email remains available as an alternative contact method.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not currently use marketing cookies or third-party analytics. Essential platform or security features may use limited technical storage where required. If analytics or other non-essential cookies are added, appropriate notice and controls should be introduced.
Third-party links
Pages may link to external services such as Microsoft documentation. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Following an external link means information is handled by that external site.
Storage and disclosure
Information may be processed by service providers that support MAITS, including email, hosting or security providers. Processing locations depend on those providers. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, business record-keeping and applicable legal requirements.
Security
MAITS takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure. No online system can provide an absolute security guarantee.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct personal information MAITS holds about you. You may also raise a privacy concern by emailing info@maits.co.nz. Rights and obligations are subject to applicable New Zealand law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website and our services change. The revision date on this page will show when it was last updated.
